MerDeaf Flag Day
Taking part in MerDeaf Flag Day was a truly meaningful experience. It reminded me of the importance of inclusivity and compassion in our community.
We had to spread awareness and gain funds for the deaf. I felt a deep sense of purpose knowing that every small effort could help empower someone else’s voice to be heard. It also gave me a chance to step out of my comfort zone as at first, I was afraid to approach anyone but realising that it was for a cause greater than myself, I tried my best and realised that there are still good in people.

LTA Caring Commuters
This was my first ever time volunteering and my task was to hand out tissue packets with handwritten positive messages on the back of them at the
Pasir Ris Bus Interchange.
This to me, was the most memorable initiative as I remember how much the seniors appreciated the gesture and some of them even shared stories with us. I also learnt how such a small gesture can change the mood of others, a simple tissue packet can go a long way.

NParks Tree Planting
Tree planting volunteering was a really grounding experience for me. Getting my hands in the soil and working alongside others made me realise how even small actions can contribute to something much bigger.
It felt good knowing that how small actions today can create a lasting impact for future generations. Working with others also reminded me of the power of community and teamwork.

Montfort Care & Fei Yue FSC
Visiting the homes of the elderly was a deeply moving experience. Sitting with them, listening to their stories, and simply being present made me realise how much they value connection and companionship. Many of them live alone, and just a short visit seemed to bring genuine joy and warmth to their day. It reminded me not to take my loved ones for granted, and how important it is to show kindness, patience, and respect to the generations that came before us.
