MY ASPIRATION
Throwing. An ancient sport rooted in discipline. It is often hidden in the shadows of Sprinting and Jumping.
As a devoted shotputter, I am very much aware that the sport slowly fading. The decline of the sport I love fuels my purpose and desire to be a businessman.
Why? I desperately want to restore its glory and show people why I enjoy the sport.

BACKGROUND DATA
Compared to the other two categories of Athletics events being Sprinting and Jumping, Throwing is always the most overlooked and least popular.
Field events are hindered by the track events as the media prefers to cover sprints.
On the news, you always see familiar names like Noah Lyles running in simple domestic competitions. However, when there are any throwing events in general, they are hardly ever showcased.
The difference in user interaction on Instagram is also appalling, comparing Noah Lyles' 206k likes for his first ever Gold medal to Ryan Crouser's 30k likes for his threepeat in Gold.
I heavily feel that technology plays a massive part in this. There is so much technology for various sports being innovated everyday.
Almost every sport has special technology. All but for throws.
Throws barely have any special equipment unlike other sports like Football which has a Video Assistance Referee.
It plays a simulation which catches the eye of viewers and have sparked controversy in the past few years.
Technology in sports are a big topic for discussion nowadays for both praise and controversy and thus, if technology is included into the sport of throwing, I strongly believe that there can be a spike in viewership.
Gear is also extremely important in terms of attraction.
To my knowledge, all that throwers need are a wrist-guard and shoes. Nothing special, which is exactly what bores the audience as there is nothing flashy to ogle at and make them want to experience and live the sport.
For example, Nike offers a very limited amount of throwing shoes which are also extremely difficult to acquire. The amount of shoes that are being sold by Nike are easily countable, compared to football boots and spikes which are a limitless amount.

As of now, there are only 4 shoes available
across a span of 3 throwing events.
MY GOAL
What do I want to do?
Bring the technology into the sport, partner with sports apparel companies to make more gear such as shoes and maybe new accessories and popularise the sport once again.

With the help of tools such as these, the world of throwing would revive and could regain popularity once again.

FOR PERFORMANCE-BASED
For example, VKTRY Insoles.
These are insoles which are made out of carbon fiber which returns the energy you put into the ground which gives you a push.
This edge helps with speed which can be used for practically almost every sport.
Despite the concept being an amazing idea for athletes, these insoles are too stiff for certain throwing events as throwing has a certain technique which cannot be changed.
