LEADERSHIP
Why is leadership important?
To me, leadership is especially crucial in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world. A leader does not give commands but inspire, unite, and drive people toward a shared purpose.
Great leadership builds trust, sparks motivation, and empowers others to contribute meaningfully. Whether in business, politics, or community work, leaders are the ones who turn vision into action and challenges into opportunities.

BEING ATHLETICS CAPTAIN
I honestly thought being Captain was just a title and that there wouldn’t be much to it. However, I was immediately swarmed with responsibilities: reporting earlier for training, collecting the key for the equipment, managing the social media account, taking attendance, packing up after training, sending out reminders, giving debriefs every session. The list goes on.
This was my first real experience of being a leader and juggling multiple responsibilities alongside my studies. I bonded with my team, teachers, and coaches. Without them, none of this would have been enjoyable. Training and my role could have felt like a chore, and I am forever grateful for their support.
Even though I held the position for just a year, I enjoyed every moment of it. Without this role, I may never have truly discovered my passion for leading.
I am someone who thrives on creativity and planning, and this opportunity fulfilled me in every way.
